Notes:

Dates alongside Categories indicate most recent update.

Most of the records listed are British pressings - where they are from other nations this is indicated in the listings.

My catalogue numbering varies around the website, where numbers have a simple number, the records will be 10" 78's. Other numbering represents different sizes or speeds as follow:

E = 8" 78's

N = 9" 78's

T = 12" 78's

45- = 45 rpm singles

EP = 45 rpm ep's

Condition coding

Gradings are almost entirely done by visual means. Although I list the code letters to indicate grade, I would urge consideration be given to the equivalent percentages as I feel that these are more representative. Surface noise will be more prevelant on records with lower gradings. Sleeve grading are on a similar basis.

N

100%

New with glossy sheen and no signs of wear or scratching (I never list this grade)

N-

90%

As new, with pristine look but probably played at least once

E+

80%

Excellent condition but obviously played and handled - may be scuffed a little

E

70%

Excellent condition perhaps with the odd light surface scratch

E-

60%

Excellent condition but several surface scratches

V+

50%

Very Good but more signs of usage, dull surface, scratched but playable perhaps with extraneous noise

V

40%

Very Good but clear signs of heavy usage, dull surface, scratched but playable with extraneous noise

V-

30%

Very Good but more heavily used than V and probable track damage

G

20%

Lacking lustre and showing heavy usage with many scratches and other surface wear to interfere with sound

ecnap

Edge Chip Not Affecting Play

Evidence that a needle has been dropped on the disc creating a small hole or gouge in the track

hair crack

Very fine crack running from the edge towards the centre. Seldom affects play but leaves the record vulnerable to future, more serious damage.

not affecting play - i.e. the needle won't stick at the affected place
