George Henry Elliott was born the Birmingham area in November 1882 and lived until 1962. When he was a child his family evidently emigrar#ted to the USA where he became a child star. However, they returned to Britain in 1894 and he began his spectacular rise to the top of British variety, enjoying phenominal success for many years..
