At last you've come! The 78's are spinning out of control and I need your help! I just love these records but there are just too many to handle. I would like to sell some of my huge disc collection to good homes so I can specialise in my favourite areas. I do NOT have cylinders, phonographs or spare parts. All reasonable offers considered but minimum price per record is £1.5 (unless otherwise indicated) and to make the process easier all round, I am currently updating the site with set prices for many of the records. Keep in mind that there is a high risk of breakages when mailing small numbers of shellac discs - it is safer to order bulky lots (8+). Minimum Order - £12 plus p&p. DISCOUNTS for 78s Orders: Available for larger orders. 7.5% off orders over £31; 10% off orders over £51; 12.5% off orders over £101. I will not respond to e-mails about individual records unless a substantial offer is being made. Please do browse through the lists - there are already over 14000 records listed, although, of course, many have now been sold (but I am replacing some). The lists are growing rapidly as I continue to add information as time passes. Even if collectors don't want to buy from these lists they may find useful information on recordings by many different artistes. Happy browsing. Chris Gavin Pricing: When you are considering making offers for records listed, please be realistic. Good, collectible 78's are increasingly difficult to find and are not often available "on tap", there is also a good deal of work involved in gathering them together in numbers and in listing them on this site. Indeed, processing the offers that come in is also time consuming and I have to take all of this into account when I consider your offer. Even more important is the content of each record and the artiste involved. If you want to buy desirable records from me please do not insult me by making minimal offers for good material. I do not ask for prices as high as many dealers, just check around the internet to see that this is so. Collecting 78's is not an expensive pastime compared to many hobbies but the days of picking up good discs for next to nothing have long gone.
